I loved to watch my goldfish named Chikie swimming around in its little fish task. I loved to stick my paw in its little fish task so it would frantically try to hide itself behind its little hiding tunnel. And what I loved the most about my goldfish was beating the crap out of its fish task all together, until Human barked at me and asked me to stop.
“Stop it, you are scaring the goldfish”, warned Human. Well, scaring my goldfish was exactly the main reason why I beat the crap out of its fish task in the first place, wasn’t it?
But then, a very strange thing happened. Last Saturday morning, my goldfish did not move a bit, even though I kept on beating its fish task.
VERY STRANGE INDEED.
“What’s wrong?”, asked Human. Human checked the goldfish very carefully and then she said, “Chikie is dead”.
“Chikie is really dead”, Human repeated.
“Check it yourself”, Human added.
I had no idea what Human was talking about. DEAD, what was it even mean??? Human said that I should kiss Chikie goodbye. Well, OK. I kissed Chikie goodbye and then what?
The strangest thing was that I did not even bother trying to chew the goldfish. I just did not understand what was going on with it. I didn’t. I really didn’t.
A few minutes later, I checked the fish task again. My goldfish was gone.
Another few minutes later, my goldfish was still gone.
My goldfish was still gone.
Human kept telling me that Chikie was dead and buried but I don’t understand. Human said that she would get me another Chikie to play with. Well, it sounds fine but I still don’t understand. I think, I will miss my goldfish after all.
Wait. I miss my goldfish already!
